1972 Mercury Montego Q Code (so it is not original) but a 429 (which were made in '72). Cut down at the knees power wise but still a big nasty bastard. $14,500.

72 was really the last year of any good hp. 73 is when everything was pretty much dead

Yeah, the SD455 cars are the only ones that are really of note in '73 and '74.

yeah the firebird and the 73 Z28 were the last muscle cars. The z28 looked like crap on paper but the engine was still pretty much the same as the 360hp used in 70

Yeah, the L82 had a different cam and carb/intake but I think that was pretty much it. '72 was almost the last year for the Camaro entirely so it's cool that it even made it to production.
